Blackspring Ridge I – 300 MW

The 300 MW Blackspring Ridge I Wind Project is being developed on approximately 46,000 acres of private land located in Southern Alberta 50 km north of the City of Lethbridge. The project has a second 300 MW phase – Blackspring Ridge II. Located on a high ridge with an extended high plateau consisting of rolling farm land and grazing land, the project has an excellent wind resource based on data collected since February 2008. The Blackspring Ridge I Wind Project is consturction-ready and is expected to be Canada’s largest operating wind energy project upon completion in 2013.
