Calgary, Alberta, Canada, May 9, 2007 – Greengate Power Corporation has filed its Preliminary Assessment Application with the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) for the interconnection of its 100MW Stirling Wind Project. The Stirling Wind Project is being developed on approximately 5,500 acres of private land located in Southeastern Alberta 30km southeast of the City of Lethbridge. Located on a high plateau of cultivated land, initial Microscale Modelling indicates an excellent wind resource of approximately 8.0 m/s. The project is adjacent to a 138kv transmission line with available capacity. The development of this project is progressing quickly with the installation of two 60m Meteorological Towers by Phoenix Engineering scheduled for early July 2007, and commencement of the Environmental Assessment and Public Consultation activities with Jacques Whitford scheduled for early October 2007.

Greengate Power Corporation is a privately held Wind Power Developer based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
